If we pit the Insurance Lobby against the NRA, we could have cost prohibitive insurance as mandatory for anyone possessing a gun and we could legislate it just like we do auto insurance.
You should have to carry a minimum amount depending on the type of guns you own. If it can do more damage or shoot at a faster rate or can be “driven” by a less responsible person that rates could go WAY up like they do when you have more cars or more careless drivers!
There HAS to be a way to take care of this in a similar manner to DUI drivers and automobiles! We NEED STRICT CONSEQUENCES for OWNING AND DISTRIBUTING GUNS. JUST LIKE WE DO FOR VEHICLES!
